Rainbow over Macduff, Moray Coast, Scotland. NE001

North-East Scotland

North East Scotland is defined here as the (relatively) low-lying eastern region of Scotland bounded by the Grampian mountains to the south-west, the Moray Firth to the north, and the North Sea to the east. The area stretches round the coast from Montrose to Inverness, taking in the city of Aberdeen. It’s not an administrative region, but has a distinct cultural identity.
